　　下面这个7分水平的答案是典型的“起-承-合”结构。

　　I guess there can be a variety of reasons. Some people collect things simply because they have too much spare time and need more personal pleasure. Others may think of collecting stuff as a means to make investments. Actually, I even know some folks who collect things just to show them off to their neighbours…

　　所谓“起-承-合”结构，就是先回答问题，然后沿着这个方向顺着往下再说几句。后如果有必要还可以再总结一句，不过后的总结很多时候是可以自然省略的。

　　再比如下面这个考题：What do you think of traveling?

　　下面的7分答案就是典型的“起-承-合”式。

　　Traveling is … fun … stimulating. I feel energized when I travel… Also, I make friends during trips to other places. And of course, as they say, traveling expands your outlook… I guess that’s exactly why so many people travel around these days.

　　再看一个6分水平的“起-承-合”式答案可能是这样的。这道题：Do you like shopping?

　　Hum, I’m really into it. At the moment, I have a lot of free time on my hands so however I feel bored, I just hang out in malls.

　　“起-承-合”结构的优点：逻辑比较简单明白，向同一个方向展开内容就可以了。

　　“起-承-合”结构的缺点：口语不太好的同学有时候会发现答案说不长。但客观地说如果您的口语目标只是6分，答案本来也不需要很长，基本平均说起来2-3句话的答案应付一个chat已经足够。当然长度只是一个方面不是机械的，更重要的是要看内容和英文表达方式。
